Title: Fervent
Author: Gemma James
Series: Condemned #3
Release Date: April 30, 2015

Synopsis

I never imagined things could get worse, but they do. The men who took us show no mercy. They won’t stop until they’ve destroyed Rafe for something he has no memory of, and I’m their weapon of choice.

Tortured and defiled, they make me wish I was back in that cabin where death was favorable to drawing another breath, but our captors can’t break what’s already broken.

What scares me is the madness I see festering inside Rafe. I’ve taken his freedom, his career, his reputation, yet despite all I’ve done, he’s determined to fight for me, kill for me, give everything he is for me.

He’ll even die for me.

NOTE TO READERSFERVENT is a new adult dark romance with disturbing themes and explicit content, including sexual scenes and violence that may offend some. Intended for mature audiences. Part three of the CONDEMNED series. This is not a stand-alone read! Please begin with TORRENT and RAMPANT, otherwise, FERVENT might not make much sense.

My Thoughts:

**An eARC was provided by author in exchange of an honest review**

You know when you think that you've seen and read everything and that you can't cry and hurt anymore and then it turns out you're wrong and you can in fact get hurt and cry your heart out? That was me when I read Fervent.

The first two books packed enough emotional turmoil that I thought it was impossible for more bad things to happen to Alex and Rafe and that they can finally be happy. But no, in Fervent Alex and Rafe are kidnapped. Tortured and abused with betrayals looming over their heads, they don't know who to trust and how to escape alive, what they know is that they can't stand to see the other hurt and Rafe will do anything to spare Alex more agony.

Gosh, from the moment I started reading, my heart was in my throat.I was scared out of my mind because I just knew Gemma James was going to make this book hurt extra hard, and I was so very right. Rafe is still without his memories of prison and his reunion with Alex and he's struggling with what his body knows and craves and his horror at what he's done to Alex. No matter how much he craves her, Rafe wants Alex safe and whole and he does everything in his power to do so. Even though I spent most of the book horrified and with tears in my eyes, I couldn't help but swoon over Rafe and his protectivness. The guy can make me fall in love with him even in the ugliest of times. Alex on the other hand had my heart breaking for her. The poor woman can't get a break, and everyone in her life wants a piece of her and is out to hurt her.

I couldn't put Fervent down. Though I was scared to flip the pages and read more, I couldn't not flip the pages and read more. I had to know what was going to happen and hope that things didn't get worse for Alex and Rafe. The writing is amazing and makes it impossible not to be sucked into the story and feel the pain of the characters. And in true Gemma James style, Fervent ended in another cliffhanger. I was left with my mouth wide open and gaping at the pages and I can't wait to see what happens next.

This book is not for the lighthearted. It's dark and twisted and makes me want to hide in a corner, cover my eyes and ears and rock and cry and shout. If you want a book with roses and rainbows then this series is not it. If you're looking for an emotional roller coaster, a very dark kind of love and flawed characters, then this is the right series for you.

ARC Review: Hate F*@k: Part Three by Ainsley Booth

Title: Hate F*@k: Part Three
Author: Ainsley Booth
Series: The Horus Group #3
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Publication: April 28th 2015

Summary (Goodreads):
Hailey:
In the blink of an eye, everything changed, and I can’t pretend I don’t need Cole anymore. He’s my heart and soul, but he’s shut me out, and I’m scared.

Cole:
Keeping Hailey at arms’ length used to be an annoying challenge. Now it’s a matter of life and death.I want vengeance. And then I want Hailey to be mine, forever.

Final part of the three book Hate F*@k serial. NOT A STANDALONE STORY.

My Thoughts:

**An eARC was provided in exchange of an honest review**

This book picks up right where Part Two left off. Hailey is kidnapped and Cole is trying to get her back, but things aren't as they and when betrayals run deep, Cole will do anything to get Hailey back and to keep her safe forever.

I've loved Hailey and Cole from the first taste I got of them. Even though I don't usually like the whole innocent, virgin girl and the bad boy manwhore, I couldn't help but adore them and get pulled into their world. Coles dirty talking and the scorching hot sex scenes can melt panties right off. He is a bad ass, and an asshole and he is mean, it's why I loved him so hard, and in this book, I felt like I was reading about a whole other guy. In Hate Fuck Part Three Cole is nice and sweet and so completely unlike the Cole I fell in love with it put me off a little.

Nonetheless, I still enjoyed this book. The sex was as hot as ever, even if I did miss Coles dirty mouth, and the writing is amazing. I was sucked right back into the story and the world of Hate Fuck and all the action and danger. With a betrayal no one saw coming, things start changing for the Horus Group. I can't wait to see how things will turn out for the rest of the guys in the group and I can't wait for their books.

For anyone looking for a fast-paced, action-packed dirty read, Hate Fuck is it.

Blog Tour: Unpredictable by Shantel Tessier (Review + Excerpt + Giveaway)

Title: Unpredictable
Author: Shantel Tessier
Genre: Erotic Romance
Release Date: April 6, 2015

My niche in life is being an asshole. It suits me. I’m that guy who jokes about love and how settling down is overrated. Why would a guy ever fall for one woman when you can have as many as you want? Makes no sense to me.

But if being a cop has taught me anything, it’s that life is unpredictable. And that is exactly what Katherine is. The woman makes me question my sanity on a daily basis. Sometimes she makes me want to keep her to myself; other times, she makes me want to jump off a cliff just to get away from her.

Yet I still find myself turning into that little pussy I said I’d never be. Showing up on her front door holding flowers, only to have her throw them at me. Calling just to say hello, only for her to press ignore. Yeah, I’ve become a pussy all right. A whipped one at that. At first she was a challenge, but now I don’t like the fact that she is playing hard to get. But when someone comes after me, threatens my job, my life. It’s her that stands by my side. It’s her who has to pay for my sins. And it’s her who I’m threatened to lose. One thing that you need to know about me is that I'll fight for what I believe in. And I believe in her more than myself.

What’s that saying? Boy meets girl and the rest is history…Well, those who fuck with what is mine, will become history.

My Thoughts:

I'm a huge fan of love-hate relationship books. I just hate books where the main couple is just so cheesy and sweet together. It makes me wanna hurl and quite frankly, very very bored. So when I saw this book, I knew I had to read it. I loved the idea but I was a bit apprehensive that it there would also be too much fighting back and forth and nothing else.

Unpredictable is told from both Katherine and Parkers POVs. They live in the same town but have never met until Katherines ex calls the cops on her when they have a fight and she ends up being arrested by the cop on duty, Parker. Things gets more awkward when they meet again on a friends wedding and sparks start to fly, and even with their hatred for each other is strong, they can't fight the pull between them.

I absolutely adored this book. It was one of the easiest books to get into and I finished it in one setting. Even though the writing felt awkward at times, I couldn't not love the book or the characters. Both MCs are very real and relatable. There was nothing fake about them and they had many imperfections. While most characters in other books have that as well, they tend to be more on the perfectly imperfect side of things with faults that often make us swoon instead of making us relate to them. This was not the case in Unpredictable. Katherine and Parker were very real and had real life problems that everyone usually has. It's what made me like this book very much. Parker is not a brooding guy, he's more like the goofy guy who also happens to be a big jerk, a softie and an alpha-male kind of guy. You don't find that often in books, and I totally liked it. Katherine has her issues, and she is a real b with an itch. I wanted to smack a few times, but I liked the fact that she didn't blush every other scene and that she was very open when it came to sex and what she liked and wasn't shy about it. It's a nice change from the usual female MCs cliché.

The other thing I loved about this book was how funny it was. It cracked me up so many times I lost count. Even though this book was seriously hot and the naughty scenes made me fan myself, it still managed to be funny. Parker as I mentioned before can be really goofy and there was one scene - I'm not saying what it is, you have to read it to find out- that just made me LOL because it was so real and very unexpected. His relationship with Kat didn't turn into a boring one when they finally got together, it was still filled with sizzling hot chemistry and humor, and their fighting wasn't overboard.

All in all, this was a great read that I it enjoyed very much.
